Harvest – Thanks

I would like to say a huge thank you for all of your help and support during our Harvest celebrations this year.  Your donations of biscuits and cakes for the Afternoon Tea, donations of items for the food bank and the wonderful parents who volunteered to walk us down to church, it is all very much appreciated!  Lindal and Marton would not be the wonderful and successful school it is without your continued support.

Halloween

Lindal Pre-School and Toddlers will once again be hosting Halloween discos at Buccleuch Hall on Friday 21st October.  There will be two separate discos, one for Reception and Pre-School pupils from 4-6pm and another for children in Years 1 to 6 which will take place from 6:30 – 8:30pm.  The cost is £2 per child with fancy dress optional.

Reception places 2017

Although September 2017 is almost a whole year away, now is the time for parents of children who are eligible to start school in Reception to complete applications for their chosen school.  If you know any parents who have a child that will be 4 years old before September 1st 2017 and they are interested in our school, please encourage them to contact us and arrange a visit.

Could you qualify for free school meals and additional support for your child in school?

Did you know that if you receive certain benefits such as income support or income based job seekers allowance your child could qualify for free school meals if they are in KS2.  Your child may also be eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant which is a sum of money awarded by the government aimed to support children whose parents receive benefits.  If you think you might qualify and would like some further information then please contact myself or Mrs Gallagher and we can assist you in making an application.
