Parents’ Evenings

Thank you so much to all of our parents who attended meetings with teachers this week.  It is always lovely to have an opportunity to praise the children for their hard work and excellent behaviour.  We hope you enjoyed looking through the work they have completed so far this term.  Please remember though that our doors are always open should you wish to discuss any aspect of your child’s learning and enjoyment of school, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

All clubs will resume as normal next week.  For those children attending Tom Lawson’s multi-skills club on a Thursday after school, the cost will be £5 for the 5 sessions they will have this half term.  If possible, please can the full payment be made to Mrs Gallagher.  If for any reason a child does not attend one of the 5 sessions, a refund will be made.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Boxes of Hope

Boxes of Hope will be collected on November 15th.  Last year we managed to donate more than 40 boxes which was a fabulous offering considering the fact we only had 57 families in school.  We really do value the opportunity to take part in this appeal as it enables us to increase the children’s awareness that there are less fortunate people in our world and that by donating these boxes as gifts, they can make another little girl or boy very happy.

Zoo Lab
We are very pleased to have booked the popular Zoo Lab for another visit.  They will be joining us on Thursday November 17th and be teaching the children about hibernation and British wildlife.  Every child in school will attend a session in which they will see and handle (if they choose) the animals/insects they bring with them.

Little Ballers – Fun sessions for children aged 2-4yrs

I have been asked to make you aware of Little Ballers which is a fun sports session for children aged 2-4 years which takes place every Tuesday during term time at Ulverston Leisure Centre and 3G pitch from 11:10am to 11:40am.  The children who attend will learn new skills for a variety of ball sports such as tennis and football.  If you would like to know more then please email: or telephone: 01229 584110.

Ulverston Voices

I would just like to say a huge well done to the children in Year 1 and Year 2 who took part in Ulveston Voices this week.  Some of our younger children were quite nervous about singing on stage in front of so many people but they performed wonderfully and, as usual, their behaviour was magnificent.  Thank you Miss Stewart for organizing their participation.
