Inclement Weather

So far our Winter has been very mild, however this could always change and according to recent weather reports, it may well do soon.  If in extreme cases the school did need to close you would receive a text message as soon as a decision had been made. This information would also be included on our school website, social media sites, both The Bay and Radio Cumbria radio stations and the Evening Mail website. The decision to close school would never be taken lightly.

Friends of LAMPS

There will be a Friends meeting next Monday in school at 7:30pm.  The Friends are in the process of planning further fundraising events this year so please do come along and share your ideas.

Raffle Prizes

Any parents fortunate to have won a raffle prize which involve one of our staff members, please feel free to contact them or the school office to arrange dates and times to claim your prize.

It has been brought to my attention that there are a number of parents who are stopping their cars in the middle of the road for their child to exit the car and walk up to school.  Not only is this dangerous for the children, it is very inconsiderate of other drivers.  If every parent chose to drop off their child in this manner, it would make for a very difficult start to each day.

We have had a number of children in PE sessions this week complaining of Verrucas on their feet.  Verrucas can be spread from person to person just by walking barefoot on the same surface and our gymnastic lessons require children to be barefoot in the hall and working on PE mats.  Please can you check your child and treat appropriately if needed.  If your child does have a Verruca then they need to be provided with a Verruca sock for indoor PE lessons as well as swimming.

Welcome Mrs Greaves

I would like you to join me in welcoming Mrs Greaves to our school.  Mrs Greaves works for Cumbria Teaching Agency and is now delivering French lessons in Key Stage 2 on Monday afternoons.
