 Litter Pick

I would like to thank our children for taking part in the sponsored litter pick today.  The adults were amazed at the amount of rubbish that was found!  It has also been a great opportunity to teach the children about safety, both being out near roads and also what they should and shouldn’t touch if out walking and playing.  The litter pick has enabled the children to raise money for charity whilst doing something beneficial for our community and has made everybody think about the importance of taking responsibility for looking after our environment.

Thank you also to our families, friends and neighbours who have supported the children with sponsorship.  If all money collected can be sent in by Friday next week, I can write and inform you of the total collected.

Parents’ Evenings

It was a great to see almost all of our parents taking the time to meet with class teachers this week.  I hope you found the time valuable and enjoyed looking through the children’s books.  One of the biggest strengths of this school is the successful partnership we have with parents and how well our children are supported at home.  Please remember that if you are unable to make Parents’ Evening due to other commitments, or you have anything you would like to discuss concerning your child, myself and the class teachers will always be happy to arrange a time that is suitable for you.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

Clubs will return to normal next week.  We do have a number of sporting events taking place over the next couple of weeks which may affect some clubs in that they might not be the usual activity with the usual adult but we DO NOT intend to cancel any so please be assured that there will be provision in place.
