Music Concert

I hope you all enjoyed the summer concert this afternoon, the children have all worked very hard to prepare.  I would also like to thank Miss Stewart for all the time and effort she has given to organizing the event, practicing with the children and sorting the music and instruments.

Open Day

Next Tuesday is Open Day, in the morning for parents of KS2 pupils and in the afternoon for parents of KS1 pupils.  If you have a child in both key stages then you are free to choose a time which suits you best to see both of your children.  Any parent visiting us in the afternoon is more than welcome to take their child(ren) home when you have finished looking through books.  The morning session will be from 9:15am – 11:30am and the afternoon session from 1:15pm – 3:00pm.

If you are able to attend our Open Day, when you arrive, your child will come to greet you.  You can then decide to take a tour around the school or find a space to look through your child’s books with them and discuss their learning this year.  The children’s books will be in their tray and can be collected from their class.  Be warned, they have all worked very hard this year so the trays may be heavy!  Your child’s books can then be taken home and a copy of your child’s report will be available to take home too.

If you are unable to visit on Tuesday, please send your child to school with a strong carrier bag for their books to go home in.  For any children walking to After-School Club on Tuesday, bags of books can remain in school and collected by parents at another time.  We are almost always open from 7:45am until 6pm.

Summer Sports Fun Day @ Glaxo

We are incredibly lucky again this year to be able to hold our fun day at Glaxo Sports Club.  It is a fantastic facility and we can offer so many more activities there.  All children need to be dropped off at the Sports Club next Friday between 8:45 and 9:00am.  If you envisage any difficulties with this please let us know and staff can transport them from school.  Children can then be collected at 3:15pm.  If there are children who need to attend the After School Club that day and are booked on in advance, then staff will transport them from Glaxo to Buccleuch Hall.

All children will need to be in their PE kits that day.  Your child should bring a named water bottle with their lunch.  Children who usually have a school dinner can choose the packed lunch option on the ordering system and this will be delivered to Glaxo in the morning.  Those children will require extra drinks.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

Please note that clubs will continue next week as normal however, there will be no clubs on Friday after school due to the Summer Sports Fun Day at Glaxo.
