Brass

Brass Club and brass tuition has now finished.  There will no longer be a club on a Monday or any tuition from Mr Stoneham.  The brass instruments that we have loaned are going to be collected next week so please can you ensure they are in school.  If the instruments are not in school ready for collection then we will be required to pay an additional delivery charge.

After consultation with governors, staff and pupils, we have decided not to offer brass tuition as part of our music curriculum next year but it may possibly feature on the timetable again in the future.  If your child has particularly enjoyed learning to play their brass instrument and are keen to continue then we can provide information about leasing instruments and also the tuition offered at UVHS.  Mr Stoneham can also offer information about various music clubs and brass bands outside of school.

Extra - Curricular Clubs

Clubs will finish on Thursday 12th July.  If you require after-school child care for the final week of term then please ensure you book with Lindal Pre-School.  There will be no After-School Club available on the last day of term, Friday 20th July, as this time is required to organise and sort equipment and resources.

Lindal Gala

Just another reminder that Lindal Gala will take place tomorrow on Lindal Green.  The procession for the queen will begin at Lindal Church, meeting at 1:40pm.  There will be lots to see and do and the weather forecast is fantastic so it is guaranteed to be an enjoyable afternoon.

Leaver’s Assembly

Our Year 6 will be delivering their assembly on Friday 20th June.  Unfortunately due to the limited space in our hall we can only offer this to a small audience of either Year 6 parents or grandparents.  The assembly will take approximately one hour and the Year 6 parents will be free to take their children afterwards.

If your child is not in Year 6 you have the option of collecting them from 2pm onwards.  Teachers will be packing up resources in this last hour and moving furniture ready for some minimal building work that is due to start Monday 23rd July.  We will however be closing at the normal time of 3:15pm so please do not worry if you are unable to collect your child early.
