Plant Sale

Those of you who follow us on Twitter, check the school website or are a member of the Friends of LAMPS Facebook page, will have seen pictures of the wonderful plants that Mrs Smith has been growing ready for tomorrow’s plant sale.  The children have also been very busy planning stalls and are very excited to be involved.  Can I also take this opportunity to thank those of you who have kindly offered donations of bottles and chocolate, it is very much appreciated.

SATS

SATs tests for Year 2 and 6 have now been completed and so have optional tests for years 3, 4 and 5.  Mrs Smtih and Mrs Hoekstra have been delighted with the effort the children have put in and the excellent results achieved.  I have been very happy to see all of our pupils relaxed and at ease with the whole assessment process because for us it is business as usual and just another day at school.  The results will be reported home before the end of the summer term as they need to externally moderated and verified.

Nepal

Thank you very much for the generosity shown today fundraising for Nepal.  The children have raised a superb £136.30.  It may be a small contribution in relation to the funds needed to rebuild Nepal but every penny counts.

Uniform Orders

Coniston Embroidery have asked that parents receive the following information regarding ordering and delivery dates:

  • For guaranteed  delivery on 16th July 2015, order before Monday 29th June 2015
  • For guaranteed delivery on Monday 7th September, order before Monday 10th August.

Alternatively you can purchase uniform items from Identity in Barrow or from Tesco’s Uniform Easy service online.  Tesco will deliver to your home within 15 days for free if you spend £15 or more on embroidered uniform. For orders less than £15, there is a £2 delivery charge.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

As you will know, Aerobics with Miss Hair has now finished, as has Art with Mrs Doyle.  Running Club will still run for one more week for those children who attend who are not on the Residential.  A new club timetable will be sent out after the half term break.
