March 22nd Newsletter

Friends – Coffee Morning

Thank you so much to The Friends who organised the Coffee Morning and also the many parents who donated cakes, biscuits and raffle prizes.  The total amount raised for the school was £220.25 which is fantastic.  It was also lovely to hear such positive feedback about some of our pupils who supported the event and were praised for their manners.

Parentmail – SPAM

We have been made aware that some Parentmail emails sent from school are being placed into the Junk Mail boxes of certain accounts. Mrs Gallagher has reported this problem to Parentmail and their response is below:

“We are aware of an issue with Outlook and Hotmail inboxes incorrectly classifying our emails as malicious or phishing. We have made contact with the provider directly to rectify this false message and are treating it as a high priority. An update will follow once we have been able to resolve the problem”.

Parentmail have said to try this guide on whitelisting the email address for Parentmail (info@parentmail.co.uk) and see if this resolves the problem. It should force the emails into the inbox rather than an alternative folder.

If you hear of any parents not receiving emails (and therefore not this newsletter) please alert them to the issue and point them in the direction of the school website where they can read the weekly newsletter.

Parents’ Evening

Thank you to those parents who have booked their Parents’ Evening times.  We hope using Parentmail has made this process easier for you.  If you haven’t yet booked your slot, then please do so. There will be an opportunity to view the children’s work so even if you feel there are no pressing issues you wish to discuss, it is worth the time just to see how well your child is doing.

Refugee Support

I would like to say a huge thank you for the many donations of clothes and other items that have been brought in to give to the refugee families.  We have been overwhelmed by the amount received and it once again shows what a generous and supportive school community we have.

Scholastic Book Fayre

Many thanks to all those who purchased books today.  It is lovely to see the pupils so enthusiastic about books and reading.
