Ladies Fashion Show and Pop Up Shop!
Lindal Ladies Charity Group have ordganised another fashion show to be held at Buccleuch Hall. These have proved very popular events in the past and they help the Ladies raise funds which are shared out to various local groups and organisations including our school. The Fashion Show takes place at the hall on Monday 15th October with doors opening at 7pm. If you would like tickets then these can be purchased from Lynne Satterthwaite.

Harvest Festival – St Peter’s Church, Lindal
Next Friday our children will be presenting prayers and poems in St Peter’s Church for Harvest. The service will begin at 1:30pm. Unfortunately myself and Mrs Lawson are on a training day so we will not be attending. We are therefore appealing to some parents to help walk the children down to the church with staff to ensure the safety of the children. If you are able to come to school at 1pm and do this, then please let myself or Mrs Gallagher know. As usual we will be asking the children to bring in donations of food that the church will take to The Food Bank. The Food Bank are currently in need of tea, coffee, jam, sponge puddings, tinned fruit and UHT fruit juice.

Harvest Afternoon Tea
We are holding our annual Harvest Afternoon Tea for Grandparents on Tuesday 16th October. Due to the small size of our hall and the space available, this will be a ticketed event. We have 50 tickets with only 1 ticket per child given initially and these will be available via Parentmail from Tuesday 9th October. First come, first serve so be quick to get yours if you need one.

Big Bang Event
Just a reminder of the Big Bang event for children in Squirrels and Badgers. This takes place on Wednesday 17th October and we will be transporting the children to Furness College by coach and asking for them to be collected at 3:30pm by parents. Because Mr Procter and Mrs Elliott will both be at the event, neither STEM or Hockey Club will take place that evening. However, Year 3 children who would have been in the Hockey Club are welcome to join Free Choice club instead. If you have a younger child in school then please feel free to collect them from 3pm if you need to be at Furness College to collect at 3:30pm. Thank you for your support.

Reception 2019 Places
Any parents of children who will be starting Reception in 2019 will need to complete applications forms by 15th January 2019. This is done online at www.cumbria.gov.uk/schooladmissions . If you have a child this age (or know someone who does) then we are open for visits anytime. Unlike some schools, we do not hold a specific open day as we prefer to show our prospective parents around individually so they can ask all the questions they need and get a feel for the school and see what it is like on any given day.
