Aldi Football Stickers

You may have seen on The Friends of LAMPS Facebook page that we are collecting the football stickers from Aldi in the hope to receive a sports kit for our school and the chance to win £20,000.  Every school that manages to fill their poster with 300 football stickers will receive the kit and then be entered into a draw.  We are already half-way there which is amazing given that we are a small school.  Every time you spend over £30 in any Aldi store you’ll receive a Team GB sticker which your child can then bring into school and pop onto the poster.  Thank you so much to all our families who have sent stickers in already.

Harvest

On Friday afternoon next week, the whole school will be walking to St Peter’s Church for the Harvest service.  Each class has been busy preparing a poem, prayer or song and are excited to present them to you.  We will be setting off from school at approximately 1:15pm and would love it if some of our parents assisted us to walk the children safely.  If you are available to help, then please mention it to Mrs. Brettle so we can be sure we have enough adults.  Thank you.

Once again the church is collecting donations for The Barrow Foodbank and Furness Homeless Group so if you could please send your child in with an item of food to donate, that would be fantastic.  Urgent items required include tea, coffee and tinned fruit.

Edinburgh Residential

Fussell’s Travel have now sent us the itinerary for the Edinburgh Residential trip to take place for KS2 children next summer.  Next week, if your child is in Class 3 or Class 4, you will receive details of the trip via ParentMail.  We are asking for a non-refundable deposit so that we can confirm numbers with the travel company who will then ensure we have the correct number of rooms booked.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child attending the trip and would like some reassurance before paying a deposit, then please come and speak to myself or Mr. Procter.

Parents’ Evening

Our Parents’ Evenings this term will be held on Monday 28th October and Tuesday 29th October. As usual, there will be a 10-minute slot to speak to your child’s class teacher and time to look through their workbooks which will be available to view in the school hall.  You will be able to book your time slot via ParentMail and the form will go live on Monday evening at 6pm.
